That's why insulating your home with SoundScreen is the easiest, most comfortable decision you'll ever make. SoundScreen dramatically reduces unwanted noise transfer through stud walls, floors & ceilings by as much as 85% in sound power level. Product Description SoundScreen is a lightweight insulation material manufactured from a molten mixture of natural rock and recycled blast furnace waste products, and bonded with a thermosetting resin. It is specially formulated with water repellent to prevent moisture ingress into buildings. The product is light brown in colour, and comes in two sizes designed to suit the standard stud or joist spacings of 450mm and 600mm. SoundScreen is supplied in strong polythene packaging for ease of transport and handling and is especially recommended where an economical combination of acoustic & thermal insulation is required. For higher performance walls use SoundScreen with CSR Gyprock Soundchek plasterboard. The product is can be supplied with factory facings subject to minimum order quantities. Corrosion Resistance SoundScreen is faintly alkaline and incapable of corroding steel. To maintain this condition, protection must be provided against contamination from external sources. When tested in accordance with BS 3958 Part 5-1986,Bradford SoundScreen products have a pH of 7.0-9.0. Moisture Resistance Exposure to an atmosphere of 50°C and 95% relative humidity for four days, results in moisture absorption of less than 0.2% by volume. If the insulation becomes wet, full thermal efficiency will be restored on drying out. Sample Specification The insulation material in the floors, walls and ceilings shall be Bradford SoundScreen as manufactured by CSRBradford Insulation, to fit tightly into stud or joists leaving no gaps in the insulation.
